Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) has signed a power purchase agreement to develop the 150 MW Cuango solar photovoltaic project in the Republic of Angola, marking the company's first step in the country. This project will contribute to enhancing the stability of the power grid in southern Angola. The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week events, during the General Assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). The project forms the first site under the 'Royal Sable' program, a comprehensive renewable energy initiative with a total capacity of up to 500 MW across three locations.
